Award Winning Garden

FLYNN are delighted that the PSNI Memorial Garden, designed by Belfast architects, Hackett HallMcKnight and constructed byFLYNN, has been recognised by the Royal Institute of Britis hArchitects(RIBA).It was one of four projects in Northern Ireland to win prestigious awards.

The PSNI memorial garden “radiates a great sense of peace, dignity and stillness”.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) memorial garden lies within the grounds of PSNI headquarters on Knock Road, and is a mix of oak-panelled walls, beech hedges and dark back-enamelled glass panels. In their citation the judges said: “The new memorial garden overall is an exceptional commemorative space, which radiates a great sense of peace, dignity and stillness.
